The North Miami Beach Public Library is delighted to support local authors of all ages, genres, and places on their publishing journeys! Whether you have published works you'd love to share with the community or are just getting started and need to know how to find an agent or design a cover, the Library has resources that can help.
If you would like to hold an author event such as a book talk, book signing, or related program, please fill out the Local Author Submission Form and submit a copy of your book here at the Library to let us know what you have in mind. We love to highlight and encourage our local writers and artists!
Want to see your book available for checkout at the Library? We'd love to see it! You can donate us a copy by dropping by the Library any time and telling the friendly front desk staff that you are a local author and would like your book considered for inclusion. A Librarian will reach back out to you about whether your book can be added. The Library can only accept physical books, not ebooks, at this time. (See our Local Authors policy for more information!)The Library is excited to present two exciting writing events with local author Francesca Pierre - on Thursday, May 21st, she will lead a writing workshop for aspiring authors, discussing process, publishing, and more! For those interested in Francesca's work, she will appear in an author talk and interview on Thursday, May 28th!

Kettly Moss, local Haitian author writing in French, shared her writing journey, work process, the specific needs of her Haitian reading community, and other exciting creative insights with the Library community on March 7th. But don't worry if you missed her while she was here - we'll be seeing her again later as she continues to produce new work to share with the community!
