LANGUAGE LEARNING

Whether you want to learn a foreign language, study for exams or tests, prepare for a vacation overseas, or just brush up on your grammar and vocabulary, the Library is the place to go for easy access to a ton of language learning materials! Join us for live language classes and practice sessions, or try our language learning materials to learn at your own pace with reading, writing, listening, or visuals.

If you'd like to practice your English in a relaxing, friendly environment with others, the Library is the place for you! We hold English Cafe classes to allow patrons to practice their skills with a Librarian and other members of the community. Check our Events Calendar to plan to attend the next session!

The Library is proud to provide English for Speakers of Other Language classes at the Library, taught by the expert educators of Miami-Dade College. Space is limited and classes fill up quickly, but you can always reach out to the Library to find out if one is opening soon and get onto a wait list!

If you're more of a self-paced language learner, the Library also provides language learning materials in book, CD, and DVD format, making it easy to learn wherever and however you prefer! Check out the Language Learning collection in our catalog!

Did you know you can browse the Library catalog in multiple languages? Just click on Languages in the upper right-hand corner when you visit the catalog to choose whether you would like to browse in English, Chinese (traditional or simplified), French, Haitian Kreyol, Korean, or Spanish.
